By far one of the most comprehensive tours of not only the Grand Canyon but of Northern Arizona!
Visit the remarkable ruins of Wupatki, where the ancient Sinagua civilization once lived, then mysteriously vanished without a trace. These ancient desert dwellers were the only ones present to witness the dramatic eruption of Sunset Crater Volcano. The last volcano to erupt in Arizona has such a lunar landscape that it is where the Apollo Astronauts trained for their Rover mission back in the 1960's.
After a delicious lunch in the dining room of the historic Cameron trading post on the Nacajon reservation, we venture into the Grand Canyon for an afternoon of exploring one of the seven natural wonders of the world. This portion of the tour includes stupendous views of the East and South rims of the park, and offers the time and flexibility to explore on your own or with the guide.
